This is a list of my top recommended products. These are items I personally own and would buy over and over again! I’ve included items I recommend for college as well as my top blogging recommendations.

My Top College Product Recommendations:

Amazon Prime

If you’re a college student, you can get 6 months of Amazon Prime completely free! After the free trial, you’ll pay a discounted rate of $6.49 per month for the duration of your time as a student.

I used Amazon Prime ALL THE TIME in college, especially when I lived in a dorm. If I forgot to pack anything, I would order it on Amazon Prime and it would get to my dorm in 2 days (sometimes less). I used it for textbooks, dorm items, and even snacks.

Mattress Topper

One thing that I recommend to ALL college students is a mattress topper.

Dorm mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable so a plush mattress topper will be a total life saver. This one from Amazon is my all-time favorite. It legit feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud.

Clip On Fan

Dorm rooms can get so stuffy and hot. You most likely won’t be able to adjust the temperature in your dorm room.

I highly recommend getting a clip on fan like this one. You can clip it on your desk or bed and it’ll keep you cool all night.

Extra Long Power Strip

Most dorm rooms don’t have many outlets – especially the older dorm buildings. Make sure you can plug in all of your electronics with this extra long power strip.

I love that the cord is super long (5 feet) and it includes regular plugs, USB ports, and a USB-C port for newer electronics.

Dorm Lock Box

Dorm theft is much more common that you may think. The most commonly stolen dorm items are laptops, cell phones, and cash.

A lock box like this one that tethers to your bed or desk is the safest place to store your small valuable items in your dorm room.

Honey

Honey is a browser extension that gives you cash back for everything you buy online! It also automatically applies coupon codes for you so you know you’re always getting the best deal.

I’ve literally saved hundreds of dollars and gotten a few $50 Amazon gift cards with the cash back options. Plus it’s completely FREE!

Bedside Shelf

A bedside shelf is absolutely essential for dorm rooms. If you’re lofting your bed, you’ll need a spot to put your phone, water bottle, glasses, etc. while you’re sleeping.

This bedside shelf is specifically made for dorm rooms. It’s super cute, well-constructed, and well-reviewed on Amazon.

Storage Ottoman

A storage ottoman is one of those multi-purpose dorm room items that I think everyone should have.

It’s the perfect spot to stash those awkward items like extra shoes, school supplies, or snacks. Plus it can be used as seating when you have friends over.

Tailwind

Tailwind is my number one blogging tool recommendation. I use Pinterest to get a majority of my traffic to my blog.

Tailwind helps me schedule all of my pins and distribute them to different boards. If I didn’t use Tailwind, I would be manually pinning hundreds of pins a week. That would take hours versus the 30-ish minutes I spend on Pinterest a week.

Perfecting Pinterest

I’ve taken a few blogging courses, but one of my absolute favorites is Perfecting Pinterest. The course creator, Sophia, makes multiple six figures with her blog and she gets most of her traffic from Pinterest.

I don’t use 100% of the strategies she outlines in the course but it’s a great introduction to how to use Pinterest and Tailwind to gain traffic and money with your blog.

Pinterest is my #1 traffic source and it’s a big part of how I make over $1000 a month with this blog.
